Alright, here is my intro. It wont be fancy or flattering, but it's the truth. My name is Avery, but everyone calls me Ree. (I HATE bing called Aves!) I am 17 years old and I'm in my senior year of high school. I'm a Cross Country runner, former cheerleader, oldest of five, hard-core country music fan, proud Latter-Day Saint, avid reader and writer. I have been a choir nerd for 10 years and I don't think that will ever change. I am also engaged to a wonderful young man. He is a return missionary, a hard worker, and he's my best friend. We will be married this coming September, just after I turn 18.
I started this blog because I wanted to record my adventures and be able to share them with girls my age, and hopfully help people see the world with new eyes. Because I believe that when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. The world may have a certain idea of how life is supposed to be, but I know there are other ways to live. As a teenage girl I know this is hard to believe. But sometimes you just have to take life one simple day at a time.
I named my blog Sunset Road because sunsets remind us that tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it... yet... And I'm walking the road of life. I'm always curious as to what lies just beyond the sunset. And I hope someday I'll get there.
